We had a wonderful stay — everything was exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was clean, well-equipped, and even the fridge was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and there were TVs both in the front bedroom and the living room. The bathroom was also clean, though keep in mind there’s only one, which might be a consideration for groups larger than two. The cottage itself is cozy — a bit small, but perfect for us and our dog. The location was ideal: peaceful and quiet, yet only about a six-minute drive to town for restaurants and shopping. My only suggestion would be to add a light on the back side of the house (if there is one, we couldn’t find it), as it gets quite dark back there, and the surrounding homes weren’t occupied, making it feel a bit isolated at night. The landscaping looked freshly updated and added to the charm of the property.

Loved staying at this property for a weekend getaway! The location was wonderful as it was close to downtown South Haven and Saugatuck. The space was perfect size for two people and our pup. It was furnished with everything we needed. The back yard was a nice plus for us, but isn’t fully fenced so just something to consider when bringing dogs. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My husband, daughter, and dog stayed at the little haven for a long weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary & last weekend of maternity leave. It was the PERFECT home for us. It's a 5 minute drive to almost everything we wanted to do which was so nice. Also a walk or 2 minute drive to Newcome Beach which we ventured to. Our dog was so happy to have been able to come on our family trip. House was clean and decorated so cute - very "homey". Phil was responsive and so helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Only less than desirable thing i’d not is if you are stuck inside and want to watch a movie or tv the furnace makes it challenging to enjoy the experience, otherwise great place, area, and hospitality from the host!

Phil’s cottage was just lovely—we were so pleased with our beautiful accommodations! The house is larger than it appears in the listing, and is very nicely decorated, with everything provided! It was also fresh and sparkling clean, and located on a quiet, peaceful street that felt like you were in the woods—literally, all I could hear as I walked our dog was the wind blowing through the trees! Adorable little cottage, exactly as described. Maybe a bit further to walk to beach than I’d like but a short little drive got us where we wanted to go. Phil was very responsive when I had a question re: checkout. It was a great little place for our girls trip! Only negative that we could find was the outdoor landscaping made the cute cottage look a little rundown

Phil's cottage was beautifully decorated, clean, cozy and well appointed with everything we needed: k-cups of various types of coffee, a full spice cabinet, beach chairs for a day on the lake, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable. Phil checked in with us regularly, was quick to respond to every inquiry and proactively provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. We had a great trip as a result and would love to stay here again!

We stayed for two nights on a last minute impromptu weekend getaway. The cottage was wonderful and in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Short walk to the beach or a 15 minute walk into town. It’s a great place for a couple or a small family. Be advised, there is only one bathroom, so plan accordingly. We would definitely stay again.

The inside of the cottage was very clean and comfortable. It’s within walking distance (6-8 minutes) to First Street Beach, which does have a small public space to spend time on the beach. The neighborhood was very quiet and the driving distance to downtown was convenient. I appreciated being able to request an hour later check out (for a small fee). Thank you!

The Haven was a great place to stay. We had 5 adults and a toddler so it was a little cozy. Phil was a great host. Responded in 5-15 minutes. The place is decorated so cute and had all the amenities that we needed. It only took 8 minutes to walk to the public entrance to the beach. Under 10 minutes to downtown. We felt safe in the neighborhood and it’s on a quiet road. We just loved the place! Thanks Phil 💕
