We’re Phil & Casey, the dynamic team behind The Boutique Home Group. What began back in late 2017 as Boutique Homes of Galena—a small collection of cozy, character-filled retreats—has grown into a thoughtfully curated portfolio of unique vacation rentals across Illinois, Michigan, Arizona, and Texas. Whether you're seeking a quiet weekend escape or a luxurious getaway, each of our homes is designed to deliver comfort, style, and a touch of charm. Every detail is intentional, every space welcoming—because we believe your stay should feel nothing short of exceptional.

Are you pet friendly?
Yes! We love our furry friends and all of our homes are pet friendly for a small additional fee.
Do you offer vacation rental managment services?
Yes! We offer concierge style vacation rental managment solutions in Galena and select parts of Michigan. Ask us about our background and professional licenses!
What group sizes can you accommodate?
We offer homes for the single traveller all the way through to large groups of 14 people.
I don't see the perfect home for me. What should I do?
Reach out to us - we are adding new properties to our collection all the time!
Are early check-in's / late check out's available?
Yes, but subject to availability and a small additional hourly rate.
Are there any additional charges?
The price you see when booking is the price you'll pay including all taxes and fees. However, if you choose an 'add on' such as bringing a pet or pool heating, this will be a separate charge.
Are you qualified to manage my property for me?
Absolutely! Phil is a licensed real estate professional in IL & MI!

It was a beautiful home to stay at! I absolutely loved the fireplace and listening to the records on the record player. Lots of spacious room for our party of 6! The beds were very comfortable! Loved the windows and openness of the home, yet it still provided privacy and cozy vibes! Great communication with the host the entire time. Very organized and attentive! The hot tub was a hit, even though the temps were in the single digits! We had a blast! Dirty and chipped dishes. Dirty dishwasher. Broken spatula - the red spatula fell off the handle while I was making scrambled eggs. Not sure how long the water was sitting in the Kureg machine. Saran Wrap or plastic wrap would have been nice too. A bench outside by the hot tub would have been helpful to place towels on.

My family loves staying at Phil's place over Thanksgiving. The house is so pristine and clean that it feels like you're moving into a new house, and it was amazing cooking in that beautiful kitchen. The appliances were all new. We love that the hot tub was just steps away from the house. We enjoyed watching the deer outside. The house is a common beautiful respite from the city Phil was kind and responsive to any messages.

This property speaks for itself, so this review is mostly to sing the praises of the host! Phil was the most proactive host I've encountered. We received very detailed instructions prior to arrival, as well as local recommendations, a digital handbook and Phil checked in with us via text to make sure we were settled in. On the day of check out, we had an issue with a vehicle and Phil graciously let us stay as long as we needed that day to get it sorted out. Considering it was cold and snowy, we really appreciated this act of kindness. The house is exactly as pictured and is very clean. We had 6 women for a girls weekend so the fireplace and hot tub were perfect. Wild turkeys made this peaceful property even more magical. There's not much for taxis or Ubers in Galena so be sure to plan ahead. Eagle Ridge Resort is a quick 8 min drive away and was perfect for dinner or pizza take out.

Me and my family had wonderful stay at The Lantern. The neighborhood is very peaceful and safe, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was impeccably clean, from the kitchen and bathroom to the bedrooms. I also loved the artistic details and thoughtful decor. It had all the necessary cooking utensils, and I appreciated the coffee maker with coffee provided. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend it. Additionally, I’d like to mention that the host, Phil, was extremely attentive. Whenever I reached out, he was always available and willing to help.

Had a wonderful stay - beautiful views from the house! Phil had excellent communication with us and house was as described. Mother Nature showed up with a lot of snow and cold but the house was perfect to cozy up and hang out in. Would love to come back!

Definitely worth it, short drive from Grand Rapids, hot tub is great, super relaxing and tidy. Nicely updated and had all necessities including pots and pans. Slept 5 people comfortably with the huge king size bed in the main bedroom. If we come back definitely would stay again. Host was very responsive and offered to have someone plow the driveway and yard due to the excessive snowfall.
